In  golf plays...

I made a couple top 5 and top 10 finishes...

Does top 5 include 5th place or is that a push?

Also what happens in a tie? As in multiple players have the same score in 5th place...

thanks

Most books have a "dead heat rule".  The only one I can think of that does not is Bovada.  At Bovada, if you bet $100 on a golfer at even money that he finishes in the top 10, and there is a 3 way tie for 10th, you win $100.

As with most books, the dead heat rule would divide those winnings by 3 since 3 people tied.  So you would only win $33.33 instead of $100.

You want a handicapping tip?  Spend as much time getting a good number as you do researching games. Depositing/withdrawing/depositing/withdrawing is a bitch, but I guarantee you will lose less, or win more.  I can't guarantee that for any other piece of advice

Just re-read the dead heat rules.  I had it totally wrong, sorry.  Let's say you have $100 at 2/1 and two players tie for 10th place.  you stake ($100) is cut in half.  so $50 (half your stake) is paid to you at 2/1, a $100 win.  The other $50 is considered a loss.  So instead of a $100 bet paying 2/1 for a payout of $300, you get a payout of only $150.
