I'm seeing Isner matched up against Mathieu
Jon, I've never bet tennis before. Have some free play at betus. Seeing these matches but not at your lines, off by a hook.. Example of Isner -5.5 for -105 (ML -600, O/U37.5 O -110 U -130). First, are these "game hcp" lines good or should I pass? Second, what is the O/U, number of matches? Again, never bet on tennis. Last time I played involved my ex being passed out on side of court and J Mac was yelling at officials, so... Appreciate any advice and guidance.

you lose the half game but you get better juice ... its about the same, but personally, id stay away (unless you need to use it tonight) and wait till something lines up --- or play a favorite/underdog that is a ML bet as to what betus offers or something very close. Keep in mind, there are other people (like B.Watson) who are big tennis betters...they may have lines you like for the early morning action tomorrow. But as i said, nothing wrong with waiting a night to see how things line up with your book tomorrow.
as for the handicap...yes its GAMEs...so if player A wins the 1st set 6-3 then loses 1-6 and then wins 6-4 and 6-4 ..... his game total is 6+1+6+6 = 19 and the other player has 3+6+4+4 = 17 ... so player A won by 2 games.
same thing with the total....above would have a total of 10+7+10+10 = 37 games

Ive seen Isner as low as -500 ML ... just keep that in mind, it may be 'house money' but you still want to use the best value when making plays......though Isner is a big favorite either way
one more thing, and i think its this way for every book, but check -- if a player RETIRES before the match is final -- its a push....doesnt matter if you have the -3000 favorite and the player is down 0-6, 0-6, 0-5....if that player retires.....its a push. i wouldnt say its 'rare' because it has happened a few times for the french open already this year....but its not typical.
