Because there won't be plays everyday, I've decided to abandon the daily thread in favor of an ongoing thread where I will post all plays from Denmark, Finland, Norway & Sweden. Sorry, no Iceland. First plays will be Wednesday.

I've decided the best way to handle this thread is to post currently active picks right here in the opening post. Once the current matches are over, I'll come in and delete those plays, leaving a blank slate for the upcoming plays.

Just getting some thoughts down here. Nothing official yet.

Norway - Tippeligaen - Sogndal / Sandnes OVER 2,2.5 (-133)

Sogndal - either scored or conceded multiple goals in 5 of L6; scored & conceded in L3 @ home; 2 of L3 @ home o2.5; 4 of L5 overall o2.5

Sandnes - either scored or conceded multiple goals in 7 of 10 this season; scored AND conceded in 8 of 10; all 4 away matches have flown over with totals of 4,4,7,4

-When I look to play an over, I almost always start with the road team. A goal from the road team is crucial to an over as matches often take on a defensive posture if the home team goes up by 2 goals. In the Tippeligaen, a league of 16 teams, Sandnes rank 2nd in road goals scored with 8 in 4 matches. Conversely, they rank just 14th in road goals allowed with 11 in those 4 matches.

Just getting some thoughts down here. Nothing official yet.

Sweden - Allsvenskan - GIF Sundsvall / Malmo OVER 2.5 (-111)

Sundsvall is a newly promoted squad from Superettan. With 5 home matches under their belt, they HAVE been shutout 3 times but keep in mind that 2 of those matches were against Elfsborg and Helsingborg, 2 of the top 4 defensive squads in Sweden. Against the weaker defensive squads is where Sundsvall can do damage @ home. In their other 2 home matches, they faced Syrianska & Orebro, ranked 13th and 15th(16 team league) respectively in total defense. They banged home 4 against Syrianska and 3 against Orebro. Now I'm not gonna tell you they'll net 3 against Malmo but I will tell you that they will almost certainly score 1 and that's probably all we'll need from them. In fact, we DO have a decent chance that they net 2, in which case this bet is golden. Here's why. If you've been paying attention, you know that Malmo has been a scoring machine of late. They've scored in 9 straight matches with multiple tallies in 8 of those 9. Here's the best part...they've HAD to score multiple goals away from home to secure any points as their away defense has been HORRIBLE. Malmo rank 15th in road goals allowed with 14 in 5 matches. It's no wonder that their 5 away matches have seen totals of 5,5,5,4 & 4. Simply put, neither team is keeping a clean sheet in this one and I like BOTH teams to perhaps get a second goal.
