Any analysis to go along with this pick? Thanks.
Don't really do many write-ups....but the keys for me in this fight is Johnson's footwork; athleticism and hand speed. Beneil is a very tough fighter and a world class grappler. If this fight were to go to the ground, Beneil would have a huge advantage and could submit Johnson. Johnson has been known to have a weak ground game and has lost a majority of his fights by submission. However, I don't see him losing this fight or even coming close to getting submitted. Johnson has the speed advantage, solid take down defense (much improved) and will use his footwork/hand speed to pick Beneil apart on the feet. Beneil stands very flat footed and will not be able to catch Johnson in this fight. Both fighters have been on a tear as of late winning their last 4 fights, but Johnson has fought the much tougher and higher ranked opponents. He's on a mission to get the belt (which I don't see happening) and will win this fight decisively.
