The less-is-more strategy is paying early season dividends so far as I have now made a profit in 3 of 4 events. This week at the CIMB to the tune of +6.5u. And finally was able to shake the 18h issues going 4-1 on those 5 plays. All in all though, the full place on the John Senden T10 at 12/1 was the real money maker.
So far the only type of betting yet to be profitable are the Outrights -- which I continue to struggle on. Last year, even though I showed an overall profit on the season, Futures killed me to the tune of over -32u. At least so far this year the Top 5/10 Futures are looking good at +7.125u, currently out-weighing the -4.5u on Outrights. If I can keep that up, and maybe hit the odd winner or two, this could be a big year!
Looking ahead to this upcoming week, and it's an interesting one. Two PGA events are being held with the WGC-HSBC in Shanghai, China, while the Sanderson Farms Championship takes place in Jackson, Mississippi. The WGC has an extremely strong field, and some interesting prices... But I am very much looking forward to seeing the prices posted for the Sanderson Farms. I really don't know if I will cap both tournaments fully, and my initial lean was to sit out the WGC and take aim at the lesser event where I think there will be some great 'hidden' value --- but I am still undecided. If I do take some plays across both events I will more than likely keep them in 1 thread though. Just starting to dig in, so hope to be able to post some plays tomorrow.
Hope you all were able to make a little money this past week!
Time to grind on!
