So far this season I've lost one play on Newcastle by badly underestimating their defensive frailties, and perhaps also how lethal Southampton already were despite a new coach, new defense and basically new team.
I'm going to go back to Newcastle this week at home against Leicester. Obviously Newcastle have been terrible this season, and their traditionally strong home field advantage has been weakened by their own fans abusing Pardew, but not really the team. Nevertheless, the situation has been tense and the homefield advantage has not been as strong as it should have been.
I'm not going to make apologies for Newcastle this season, they have been woeful, especially going forward, but I think the international break has been good for them in terms of regrouping and preparing for a very, very important home game for them. They will be going for their first win, and I think you will see an incredibly hungry and 100% focused Newcastle side coming out to this game. Tim Krul will be ready, Janmaar and Dummett were withdrawn from international duty and will be ready also.
Leicester have surprised everyone and are not under the same pressure at all having secured 9 point already, making them slightly overvalued.
2 unit play on Newcastle at home for me who will get the stadium rocking with a goal to lead, or even just the 100% effort which I think should be just about guaranteed.
Record: 2-8 (-5.6 units)
