Here is what my book is listing for open champ this week and if it will go to a playoff, let me know if I am looking at this correct please
But here are odds on how it finishes
Something is off in my opinion and thinking I should bet No at +240 for it to finish in playoff, I do not think it will. But in "marging of victory" it has playoff Am I looking at this wrong or what? should I bet both at the +240 mark?
It is a local book. I am just wondering if I am lookin at it wrong or if my local has messed up
Yup, they're backwards. If you two have a good relationship let him know.
You want a handicapping tip? Spend as much time getting a good number as you do researching games. Depositing/withdrawing/depositing/withdrawing is a pain, but I guarantee you will lose less, or win more. I can't guarantee that for any other piece of advice
"There is no such thing as luck, just random fluctuations of probability"
a decent relationship, but not great. Should I play both at 500 each? that would be a 750.00 guarenteed profit
500 to win 1200 on No playoff and then
500 to win 1200 on margin of victory is a playoff
load the boat baby jesus !
We shall see.
CFB: 35-45 (-18.6u)
NFL: 22-26-2 (-13u)
Wow put us all in
I already played max, which is unfortunately only 500. I just wanted to make sure that I was not looking at it wrong, glad you all helped me out. Now i just hope he does not try to cancel my bet when he figures it out. Thanks guys
I hate to tell you this but that was the worst possible thing you could do. Not only are you taking a major shot at him by betting both sides, only one of them is a bad line. If you're going to scalp, you never do it if one of your bets has a chance of being canceled. What will likely happen is he will cancel one and you'll have 500-1200 on a playoff still live (which I'm sure you wouldn't have bet alone).
Also, if you're going to take a shot, just betting the off line alone would have given you more equity than scalping
