BS is OVER: If you ever posted in a Harry Begg's thread, here's the new rules . . .
The mission of the Pregame.com community is to help each other learn to win. We are making so many strides forward together - yet, this obsession with Harry Begg is like a mole on a models face.
I could simply ban Harry . . . that might solve the problem, but it would set a very bad precedent that a handful of posters can run a poster off because they don’t like him. Mobs do not rule this community. The fact is, since the last time Harry was punished, he has NOT broken a single Pregame community rule – and breaking rules is the only way to lose posting privileges.
I could ban Johnnymo, Straguzzi, TonyAtlas, and TexasCracker . . . that would solve the problem also . . . but these are some high contributing posters in general, and deep down I believe they are trying to add to the Pregame community.
What must be remembered is a poster is banned because of broken rules – if you don’t like a poster, you can simply avoid his threads. All the talk about protecting posters from getting fooled is BS . . . the RULES protect posters.
So here is what we are going to do . . .
The next rule Harry breaks, he’s banned for life (this status has been the case for months).
If anyone thinks Harry is breaking a rule, email rj@pregame.com and I will personally review within 24 hours.
My personal attention covers Harry and the rules . . . meaning there is nothing constructive left for the “critics” to do but watch and report. Anything else is bullying and personal BS..

Now, all that is left are the rules . . . and as I said, the next one broken by Harry is his last. That’s the best any protector of the forum could ask for.
But the rules cut both ways – the first time this new rule is broken, ONE MONTH ban (no questions asked).

I understand what you say here but how about when there are really absurd claims that make it sound like you're connected to oddsmakers, trainers, jockeys, etc.?
Is it really good for the forums that these sort of wild claims don't get refuted?
Example; about Kershaw and posting from the racing office at Evangeline Downs or the pompous self-congratulations that do not take into account massive losses? He throws names out left & right.
It looks to me that this is a victory for Harry Begg to say & do what he wants while the guys who are exposing him & pointing this stuff out are banned from saying anything about him. For God's sake he denigrated Pregame on several sites and has been caught lying countless times.
As a director of the boards, aren't we supposed to look out for this sort of posting. The way I see it, RJ, he presents a clear and present danger to the forums with his constant huckstering to impressionable people. It's like a vicious cycle and it seems like you are just enabling him to continue his ways while we have to sit on the sidelines and not say a word when we know otherwise.

The RULES protect the community, not opinions . . . this community has many years behind it, and thousands of posters have participated.
Harry can do no more (and no less) then any other poster - if he follows the rules, great . . . if not, he's gone. A community can't do better than that.
If we try to police every name-drop on the internet for truth-level, the internet would shut down!
This is not a debate - this is the way things are. One set of rules for every one.
RounderRobot - why do you have to result to name calling??? The guy is simply talking to RJ and asking for an explanation. I think that is 100% fair, but you go and call the kid a dope?? Give me a break....

Dont want to be to redundent RJ. But what about the post where Harry claimed to have told everyone to write down particluars of a Horse Trained by Jack Van Berg and ridden by Edwin Melonado. He was told to produce the Post and He never did cause it never existed. I guess We just sweep it under the table and forget about it. Anyway BOL to all this coming Football Season.

I am on this site alot and I have not noticed anything Harry has done wrong and the claim he been in jockey club etc. Harry is up there in age he might have done these things he claims. How do you know. Leave him alone and everybody else...
