Guys,

Are there plans in the works for a long term "other sports" package?

It looks like Mike has found a way to sell his weekend "other sports" plays, but you have to buy an all access package that includes major sports.  What about guys like me, that are not interested in the MLB picks?  Seems like I would be paying for something that I will not be using.  I would be much more receptive to paying for a long term package where I would receive just other sports picks.

I'll give you an example of the frustration that I am feeling:

On Wed, Mike gave out over 60 units worth of British open picks on the forums.  Starting on Friday, all of the new Open plays were for subscribers only.  So I either have to buy a package where I'm only taking half the plays, or I do not get access to those picks.  For 3 days, I've been hearing about how well those plays are doing.

If you do end up deciding to buy the all access package, there is also the matter of timing.  Last weekend, Mike had a MMA package for sale.  By the time I learned of it and purchased it, the lines had moved so much  that I lost over 8 units in value.  A long term package ensures that folks receive the plays as they are selected.  To really do this right by Mike and his clients, long term packages are needed.

Looking forward to hearing about what plans are going into place.

Thanks.

BTW, don't take this as complaining.

It's simply a mutually beneficial opportunity.  There is a market for this that is not being tapped into.  Untapped revenue stream for Pregame and Mike (we know there is a market for it) and lost gains on investments by customers such as myself.

It's bad business not to pursue.

Hope this clarifies my post.  Thanks

General27, have you been told anything about this? I know you've posted about this before, so was curious.

I am my own source. It's not a run when you do it over and over again with consistency and a mentality that you've done it before.

In nearly "5" years at pregame, if you COMBINED every SPORT SEASON together, i have turned a strong profit in EVERY SINGLE SPORT EXCEPT BASEBALL. Of all the things i've done here at pregame, this is EASILY what i'm most proud of. That's LONG TERM WINNING.

As always, thanks for that to continue to follow my work. Much, much appreciated

Mike,

I've asked before, but not heard anything.

Isn't this the natural next step?

Im preaching to the choir, but you've established a product that people are willing to pay for.  If I can buy a season package to NHL ( sorry hockey fans), then there should also be one for other sports.  Mma is more popular in the US than hockey is, and that is just a fraction of what you put out there.

Sorry for the delay in responding. If there is every a post that needs me or RJ to respond, please email me the URL at johnny@pregame.com in case I miss it.

As of now, the only option is on a daily package level. We have had plans over the years to add this, but there were many issues:

1) Grading and last 100. The current system does not allow these to be added.

2) Until past year or so, the "other sports" were more of a novelty and no universal rotation feed. So to feed lines, logging etc was almost impossible unless it as done manually every single day.

We have one of the best techs in the industry working on a new lines platform for us. One of the goals is to sync it to the picks system so the picks, etc can be added. The first test was the CFL. CFL picks can now be loaded and are graded. MMA is being worked on next. From there we will knock out each sport.

As mentioned, the biggest problem is loading and grading.

JD,

Understand the challenge in regards to loading and grading "other sports".  However, I would argue that pregame is already marketing and selling Mike's 3 day packages as "ALL Sports".  In addition, Mike is including Other Sports in his records (even though they do not show up in the last 100).

I'm sruggling with the difference between a long term Other Sports package and these 3 day All Access packages.  I'm sure that tech can find a way for Mike to send these picks to subscribers without having to use the writeup portion of a MLB or CFL game.  To me, the records piece is secondary when it comes to Mike.  His integrity is pretty well known around here.

So my suggestion would be to get customers access to such a package and then then deal with the records and grading issues.  A stop gap solution so that we do not have to wait any longer for the final product.

Make sense?

As always, thanks for replying.  Look forward to your receptiveness to this suggestion.

The only thing that shows up in the last 100 is CFL. I appreciate your thoughts on Mike, but the % of pick buyers that follow the community, twitter or Mike for years is a small number. New people come every single day and to say these picks are logged, but for the rest you just need to trust us is not a road we want to travel down. If there is ever a dispute or question, it would be impossible to research the issue. I 100% agree this is a must do.

JD,

I understand your concern.

But I do not see the difference between selling "other sports" in these 3 day weekend packages versus selling them in a long term package.

Actually, there is one difference.

It's preventing guys like me, that are willing to pay for Other Sports, to get plays on Fri, Sat, and Sun.

That's the rub here.

Again, thanks for the dialogue.
