Scott gives his recap of the Fight to start. He states that Mayweather just did what he always does and that means that he frustrates his opponent with a slow paced defensive style. This wasn't a close fight at all. It was vintage Mayweather, who just renders his opponents offense useless.
He goes on to say that this really was an overhyped fight. Manny was 6 or 7 fights past his prime and 4 or 5 more fights past what Floyd's prime was. The Media really did a bad job hyping this fight.
Andy states that all boxing is is promotions and the real thing the media did wrong was to get caught up in the hype. Floyd is a smart fighter and that is why he handpicks his opponents and he also knows what the judges look for. He does states that Floyd is really a genius in the ring.
Scott states that Manny really didn't try in the 12th round and he can't believe that his trainer didn't tell him he was trailing in the fight. He had to know that and should have been told to go for the knockout. He just looked like he had no energy and didn't go for the win at all.
Steve agrees that Mayweather is a fantastic fighter, but also states that the people did not get their money's worth for this fight. Mayweather fights are very boring as it is and the public should have expected nothing less here.
Mayweatyher just stated that he would give Manny a rematch. How much of the public will buy this one. Steve states that probably allot, because many of the public is gullible and will by into the hype. Steve states that 9000 people attending a WNBA game shows that the people will attend anything. LOL
The post fight presser stated that Manny wasn't allowed to receive a shot for his shoulder injury. It has now been stated in the NY Daily News that Manny checked the no box for injuries before the fight started. he is now being investigated for perjury for lying on the pre-fight questionaire.
He should have announced the injury before the fight and the public really has to feel like they have been ripped off. Scott feels that yes he should have disclosed this. Still even if he wasn't injured, Scott feels that he wouldn't have beaten Floyd in this one.
Steve says Perjury? Give him a break. Tom Brady has played in SB injured with no disclosure at all.
Andy feels that many of the public will file class action suits, stating that they were defrauded.
This is a total black ey for boxing. Do you agree? Join in the conversation
