That's five in a row for our boys from Portugal to get themselves to the top of the table. Their come from behind winner gave us a 3-0 (+3.41) day going into the weekend.
There are some good matches going on this weekend:
England: Liverpool vs. Chelsea (6:45 AM CST)
Brendan Rodgers rested his key players (Gerrard, Sterling, Balotelli) in the mid-week Champions League clash with Real Madrid. A win for Liverpool would launch them back into the thick of things for one of the coveted Champions League spots. Chelsea, four points clear at the top, should get back Diego Costa (BPL leading scorer). Chelsea swept the series last season, including a 0-2 result in Anfield.
Spain: Almeria vs. Barcelona (9:00 AM CST)
After starting their La Liga campaign strong, Barcelona has come back down with two consecutive league losses. One via rival Real Madrid (3-1) and a home shutout loss to Celta Vigo (0-1). Barcelona bounced back mid-week with a 2-0 victory at Ajax in the reverse fixture of their Champions League group. Luis Suarez has yet to get rolling in the goal-scoring, but playing alongside Neymar and Messi, it's only a matter of time. Barcelona took both matches last year by a combined 6-1 score line.
France: Paris Saint Germain vs. Olympique Marseille (Sunday, 2:00 PM CST)
The top two teams in France's Ligue 1 go head to head. Four of the top five scorers in the league hail from these teams, including top scorer Andre Gignac of Marseille. PSG might get Zlatan Ibrahimovic back, so that should inject more firepower into this contest.
There should be other excellent games as well, so let's move on and help ourselves to a profitable weekend!
