I wanted to see which teams last year were the "luckiest" or "unluckiest" in terms of injuries/fumbles lost/recovered. The stats I used for this are phil steele's %of starts lost due to injury, as well as percent of own fumbles recovered, and percent of opponents fumbles recovered. I looked at teams that were in the top and bottom 40 of both fumble stats and % of starts lost to injury.
"luckiest teams" (fit all 3 categories) (missed low amount of starters due to injury, recovered high% of opponents fumbles, and high % of own fumbles)
Wisconsin (barely fits opponents fumbles), Michigan, Texas state
