Been capping this game for a few hours, most angles I have looked at have pointed me toward FSU. FSU CLEARLY the better team. Auburn does have the luck in their hands and is arguably more motivated but luck only gets you so far. It won them 2 games this year, don't count on it again. In my opinion though I don't think this game will be very close. I expect FSU to rip apart auburns dbacks. They most definaitly have the edge there...The only way auburn will be able to stop them is if they can get pressure with rushing 4. So leave that one up to the FSU line that has improved drastically this year. Auburn will get their rushing yards, I don't doubt that but I see FSU scoring quickly and a lot which will be tough for this running auburn team to play catchup and start slinging the ball.
I am tired of hearing that FSU has not played anyone, FSU has the #39 toughest schedule to Auburns #5 but lets remember that no one has even tested FSU. Only one team has kept them under 40 (scored 37) and only one team has scored more than 17 (Boston college fluke). Point is, how can you make this claim FSU is a lessor because Strength of Schedule when anyone you put in front of them they smacked in the mouth. Auburn has some very impressive wins, Missouri being the most impressive in my opinion but 2 of these wins were from last second miracles...
See this game ending in the 2nd 3rd quarter which won't give Auburn a chance for another 4th quarter comeback like they have done 4 times this year.
Love what auburn has done this year and have enjoyed watching them, but tonight...My money is on...
BOL to all!
I don't think that motivation should be problem for the biggest game of the college football season. I understand that LSU a couple years ago wasn't prepared very well but I don't see that being a problem this year for either team. Auburn was the hottest team in the country towards the end of the year and I think that the layoff hurts them in this situation. I think that people will look at Auburn and see what they did against both bama and mizzu to end the year but in bama's case it is clear that Kirby smart struggles against spread teams (Okl as well). If you look at fsu's schedule I would argue that they are better against spread teams compared to pro style teams. Second this secondary is not the usually SEC secondary's that we have seen in past NC games. Not to mention this FSU WR group is the best in the country. Finally Winston is the X factor. From day one against PITT Jimbo has not protected him at all in his play calling and the result was a Heisman trophy. This guy is special and will torch this Auburn secondary. I think FSU gets into the 40
s min and I don't see Auburn getting into the 30's. Lets not forget for how well they ran the ball on bama they still only scored 28 offensive points. FSU is better and will have a better scheme at defending the spread rushing attack of Auburn. I don't predict scores but feel comfortable laying anything under 2 tds here.
interesting formatting on this post. sorry
Very similar to my prediction. Im with you buddy, lets cash it!
