You guys are beyond HILARIOUS!!!! After briefly catching the tenor of the conversation here, I just had to drop in a thought of two:
I've been more than an avid football fan for many, many years. During that time, I never, ever knew there was anything such as, "SEC-speed." LMAO....I couldn't help but laugh uncontrollably.... I mean, based on the thoughts I've been able to glean, the overall tenor of the discussion has been one that embraces this kind of "philosophy,"...."Hey, why would any other football conference in America (outside of the vaunted SEC, of course!!) even exist? There's the SEC and then everyone else"..... Really? Seriously?
While the SEC (of course!!) deserves major props, lets not let our imagination and intellect get the best of us...SHEESH!!! Some scary stuff here, that's 'fo 'sho!!! LMAO.... Understanding there are MANY other inconsistencies, etc, chew on this FACT....while Auburn's offensive attack (Mizzou's offensive attack as wellis indeed STOUT, what can't be overlooked or glossed over is the PATHETIC showing of BOTH SEC defenses that were on display yesterday afternoon.....GOOD LAWD!!!! Auburn's defense was beyond POROUS....it looked more like a Div II defense at best!!! SHHESH....
FINALLY.....FSU (& to a lesser extent-at least recently) does not, in ANY way, have to take a backseat to ANY conference/team when discussing overall talent, skill, speed, etc. As a history lesson, why don't you take a few minutes to review the success and talent-level of the Florida St. & Miam programs over the past 20 yrs or so!!! It won't take you much time or effort at all to determine that the SEC (& any other major conference) was looking up at those two Florida-based programs. Leading up to the expected championship game, review FSU's roster vs Auburns...you will be beyond hard-pressed to come away saying Auburn's speed, etc cannot be matched......
CARPE DIEM GUYS!!
