Alabama, even after losing today, would be favored against any other CFB team on a neutral field (according to 30-year bookmaker Chris Andrews)

Oregon would put up 40 on them
oregon against the sec has not worked well for the ducks.
Maybe now all the stupid talk about Bama beating an NFL team will come to a halt. Who comes upith that type of stupidity?

With all due respect, as much as I love the Alabama Football Program, I must disagree. In my opinion, this Alabama team, is simply not as gifted or skilled in key positions as are very very few teams in the country this year are. They also are not as deep in lineman, as they were the past couple of years. They will get better, and in my opinion in time, will perhaps improve to the standards of Alabama teams before them. However, they are not there yet, particularly on defense. It just took longer into their schedule to find this out. But everyone is entitled to their own power ratings, and mine now are probably where they should be.
***Giving up a touchdown or even 2 in one quarter can happen to any team, even the greatest ones. But 20 points in 1 quarter, is simply unacceptable. The great ones find a way to "come back" and win after such starts, and Alabama almost did. "ALMOST" was not good enough yesterday, and places them in a small group of very good teams, but not one who should now still be favored over those as good, or probably better than they are this year, which are few and far between.
Harry, college football is not about who you play but when you play them. That is the key. Alabama is still the best team in the country.
If ever there was a situation for a Let-Down-Game in NCAAF...today /yesterday was the day. After a rematch with last years BCS opponnent, where some say Bama's defense was exposed and Bama had to come from behind to beat LSU last week...A lot of things had to go right for TX A&M to beat Bama in Tuscaloosa and they DID! I'm not saying Alabama could beat the Jax Jaguars...but if ever there was a situation for a Let-Down Game for a No. 1 team, yesterday/today was the day! I thought last night was a GREAT day to bet Oregon and KSU as far as situational angles go.
These SEC folks drink way too much of their own kool-aid. Oregon would put up at least 35-40 on bama. Their defense just simply isn't built to stop that style of offense. To think that Oregon couldn't put up 40 on a neutral field after A&M just put up 29 at Bama just doesn't add up. KSU v Oregon for the national title please. Can't make a case for any of those one loss teams bc THEY lost.... and they even lost at home like FL and Bama or to a 2 loss teams as Bama and UGA did...the latter being embarrassed by a 2 loss team
