well here we go, another football season!

First just want to say that I am mostly a lurker, but would like to thank all the baseball guys for all the work. I have had some good weeks with everyones great work on this great site!

But lets cut to the chase BOISE STATE +7 seriously? I love the Broncos to win outright and that is not just a homer pick. I have been to all the scrimmages and went to the spring game, also lucky to see a few practices. Get a few perks when you dump enough money to be a BAA member. To me with the exception of Kellen Moore it reminds me of the year after they beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. We got wiped out of all good players and were just as good as ever.

These guys this year are just like the other players we have had(except Moore)  had, it's the coaching staff that sets us apart. Best run practices in the country according A lot of Big Time Coaches. We will be prepared and ready to go. Unless there are pick sixes or returns, I see it as just another game for Boise State where they dominate up front and have a better game plan than whoever they play. This isn't a big deal playing in East Lansing. Wont phase them a bit

OH, and a Jeff Scott Power Angle- I think it has been 6 years since anyone has beat BSU by more than 1 point :-)

4unit BSU +7 and 1 unit BSU ML

Well actually Boise has just 3 losses in the last 4 years and none has been buy more than 3 points. Back in 2007 they had three losses an 2 of them were by 12 at Hawaii and 14 at Washington, so not quite 6 years.

Now it is good that you feel Boise will win outright cause they have a tough time covering when they lose. Boise is just 4-14 in their last 18 regular season losses. Granted that most of those losses were as a favorite, but they are still just 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games as a dog overall.

One other note of interest is the fact that Petersen has been a dog of 7 or more just once as coach of Boise and that was the miracle bowl win vs Oklahoma. Back in 2005 (Hawkins last year) they were dogs of 9 at Fresno State and Dogs of 7.5 at Georgia and were blown out in both.

Now having said all that I do like your play. not sure they will win outright, but this is a big number for MSU to cover vs a team that has just 3 losses in the last 4 years and by a COMBINED 5 points.

BOL and thanks for the mention.

I stand corrected. Your right as usual.

Regardless, I believe they will have a top tier D, and a solid run game as usual. So barring unforced errors should be in it the whole way.

And I believe it opened at 4 or so, so must be a lot of public money on sparty?

So barring unforced errors

THIS! And when you guys figure out to to factor those in, please let me know. In any sport other than CBB with Freshman PG's on the road.

Of any big win we have had, or winning streak, or even coming out of a losing streak, of this I am most proud:

Some forum posters have broken into the industry and have achieved moderate success while carrying themselves with professionalism and integrity. Dave Essler, of the pick-selling site Pregame, immediately comes to mind.

I like the points, too.  Boise finds a way------always.  If this game was at Boise,  14 pt W.

As a 20 year MSU season ticket holder I'll tell you that playing there at night is a very big deal.  Not saying you're right or wrong, just stating a fact.  This will be my one game a year I get back for, hope it's a good one

You want a handicapping tip?  Spend as much time getting a good number as you do researching games. Depositing/withdrawing/depositing/withdrawing is a bitch, but I guarantee you will lose less, or win more.  I can't guarantee that for any other piece of advice

Well this will definately be a hot button game for both sides. Being on Friday night and no other big games to compete with. Whichever side your on it should be exciting!

Im sure it is a big deal Lloyd, I bet that place is going off Friday night. I hope you have fun, nothing beats a big game under the light if you ask me!

I was at the V-Tech opener a couple years ago. It was pretty hostile and definately was a big deal, I went to college in Tennesse so i knew how rabid the Georgia opener was gonna be last year. I jst think we can withstand the opening punch with a solid Defense and hang in there with a chance to win at the end.

From a pure gambling angle I just think 7 is WAY to many to give to a team like Boise State. I really only like this game, WAZZU + 13.5 and Gamecocks -7

But BOL to everyone, it's just week 1, and I hope you have a great time at the game Lloyd, I was wanting to be there since I have never even been to Michigan but it didn't work out this year.

Obviously I'm not the biggest Michigan State fan, but Boise going in there at night against that defense breaking in a new quarterback? Not winning.

New QB on the road in that enviroment..against a good defense from the Big 10..?...BSU living on the past won't help here....MSU wins...generous points but oddsmakers are not stupid either....FYI...Boise has a way of winning these..Va Tech, Georgia, ect......this is going to be a tough road for them...staying away from this one...good one to watch and enjoy...Just do not have a feel and MSU using a new QB too...smells like some turnovers at some point and possibly the deciding factor..lots of variables...
