I'm not going to go round and round with you like two little kids. I will however objectively dispute you in a few areas then I'm done. Objective means no bias and no opinion. Just fact. And thank you for using proper grammer and punctuation. Your last post was much easier to read.
You continue to be incorrect in reference to the 08 Oregon game. Boise rushed for a grand total of 38 yards!!! Yes 38 yards. AND they rushed 35 times for a whopping 1.1 average. The run more than likely didn't set up the pass like you think.
The backup QB for Oregon was a kid named Harper who was 0-3 with 2 picks. One of which was returned to the Duck 10 and set up an easy score. Masoli went down late in the first and Thomas came in early in the 4th. That means Oregon played 2 quarters and threw 3 passes. A total of 8 possesions in which they threw 3 passes....... of which 2 were picked. Probably safe to say that was a major if not the number one factor to Boise winning that game. Harper was so bad his own coaches didn't even want him to throw the ball. Harper led Oregon to 7 points. Which was set up by a pick returned to the Boise 15. Not exactly like their run game was successful. Then Thomas put up 19 points in 1 quarter and basically ran out of time.
For your reference, here is the box score and play by play:
Mich St -6.5 was available to everyone on 5dimes for close to a week. I know that because I was checking every day waiting for it to hit 7.5. as I knew it eventually would. Not sure how you could reference that.
I didn't say I bet blindly on reverse line movement like you implied. I stated: "You could almost bet these situations blind and make money."
I never once said Boise is going to run the spread option. Good write up though. (No, that really was a good write up of the option vs various defensive fronts. I did like that.) I said 3 of the 4 QB's are duel threats. In my original post to you, I told you first and foremost that nobody even knows who the QB will be, let alone what offense the new OC is going to roll with. The spread option has been a "theme" and mixed in from time to time with 3 of the 4. THE WHOLE POINT I WAS MAKING TO YOU, WAS NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THIS OFFENSE IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE. My point the whole time, is simply the fact that MSU will have to prepare for all sorts of schemes, formations, etc. when preparing for Boise. That's it. Nothing more. Never once referenced Mich st. defense. BTW, I know they are legit. Especially Gholston and the entire front 7.
Subjectively, I think the public will be on Mich st.
If you would like to meet in here on the 31st I would be happy to. Not a knock on you, but I believe I am right. I think the public will be on Sparty and Boise has lots of value at 7.5. Please note on page 1 in my conversation with Bryan I never called Boise a play. I am leaning Boise because of the value.
Have a good night. Try to get to bed before 4am and I apologize if I created world war 3. GL this year.
good luck to u as well this year .....i actually was watching tape on on boise from there spring game on youtube...i admit i was wrong about some things there qbs do look very quick...i think i over dramaticized how they were going to be....so u are def right on that and also i looked at the spring practice of msu its on youtube too they didnt look too impressive at all on offense...there defense is great though look to play alot of unders on them this year .....now that i saw that im not too strong on msu in the first game i still think they will get there but am not going to put what i wanted to on that game......saw texas play as well they look great....really great they have a 10 running back.....saw michigan as well they look great really great however 2 of there stars from that spring game might not play....alabama didnt look that impressive however they were playing a 4-3 which isnt there normal defense.....there offense doesnt look as good bec there running backs are different....the last two years they had a powerback ...now they have speed backs...i still dont think they are as good as preseason num one.....
Don't put to much stock into that MSU spring game. I work with a big Mich St. fan (You can imagine the watercooler conversations..lol) and he said that Maxwell who is going to end up starting was banged up and either didn't play at all or played very sparingly. He said the offense was HORRIBLE because 2 freshman where taking the snaps and the game was just to fast for them.
