SEC has 8 rings in 11 years. Alabama has 4 rings in 8 years. So if Under Armour beats Nike in sales for 3 years out of 11 does that mean Nike isn't the best company?? The Big Ten has 2.5 titles in 47 years. You sound like a drunk guy at a local bar, you must hate success or don't understand what dominance means. I hope you look around and take in what Saban has built because you'll never see this again in any sport.

I never buy picks from people like this who have an obvious bias against an entire conference based on a limited sample size.  You never know when that bias is affecting their handicapping and I'm certainly not going to pay to find out.  There's another pick-seller on pregame that I will never buy a pick from for the same reason.

With all due respect Pauly, I don't agree at all with this claim of an "SEC myth" or "SEC garbage". The truth is that teams have figured out a way to put up a lot of points on any defense - tempo. Also, everyone has known all year that there is one way to put up points on Bama (in addition to tempo) and that's with multiple talented/big/fast WRs and a QB that can improvise and also fit the ball into tight windows. Clemson is a great great offense with tons of match up advantages against Bama and Bama still held them to 5.16 yards per play and I'm sure that was considerably lower before the 4th Q. I can't imagine any other defense in the country playing as well against Clemson in a title game, except maybe LSU, who is also in the SEC. Nobody has ever claimed that the SEC is the most dominate conference because of offense, and that's what let Bama down, their offense. In short, just because Clemson's offense has tons of matchup advantages over Bama (we could talk endlessly about how Saban's schemes match up against Clemson's offense) and Bama's offense is not great, doesn't mean that their defense and overall team isn't great.

My take is  They have had Alabama holding em up there for a few Years. Who else has won a National Championship other then Bama.  Not hard to figure out.  They are just another Conference  And like I posted the other day, This Year the best Conference top to bottom was indeed the ACC.

Very good point johnny. Bama has been THAT good though over the past few years. Agreed that the ACC was the best conference top to bottom this year. It's just really difficult to compare conferences because of the stylistic differences between them. The offense in the SEC has been so down that we have an SEC with great defense and ugly offense, and an ACC with the opposite. Then the question becomes does the bad SEC offense make the SEC defenses look even better (and which causes which more) and vice versa in the ACC. It's part of what makes college sports so interesting.

The SEC will never be the same conference with Saban sending all the talent to other conferences that he doesn't need or want...I'm sure he is taking meetings just to send kids out of the conference and away from LSU, Florida, etc.....I know I would if i was him.....I can hear the meeting with some of these kids.....If you're not going to fit into our system, it might be wise to try Oklahoma...You won't want to play my defense and LSU defense twice a year..that could hurt your stock etc etc...I can see em telling kids this... 4**** recruits being told to go to FSU or to Texas so he has a strangle hold on the conference with nothing but elite players in the country who will be NFL ready in two years...If anyone thinks he isn't doing this or hasn't been, I question your judgement with recruiting skills....SEC is down and you can blame Saban for that.

Sleepy I REALLY HOPE you DON'T Believe that CRAP! Lol! I own a local Trophy & Awards business & know pretty much ALL these local kids/coaches/families & we've had 10 kids just in the last couple of years & they're ALL either 3/4/5***** recruits. 3 of them went to Bama' & 4 of them went to LSU, not as sure about the other 3 having a choice to go to either. But, I Can't Believe you of ALL people would say something like that! 2 of the kids went to school with my son & have been to our house a lot & I can PROMISE you Saban does Not Do That kind of recruiting! He really doesn't have to sell anything, BAMA' pretty much sells ITSELF! I mean he's in La. & he's getting HALF of our 4/5***** recruits & LSU gets the other half!

Matt i honestly to god think he recruits talent that he doesn't need that is good talent and sends them to other conference..yes 100% i think he does this...It's a smart recruiting angle that most don't think about...You could be 100% right, but I think im right on this one.
