Time for the regular Thursday feature, which is my Weekly Wise Guy Report. Here’s this week’s rundown of where the sharp money is showing in college football. Info is garnered from contatcts at Nevada books, as well as offshore entities and underground stateside stores.
308 Louisiana Tech is getting most of the sharp action as a home dog on Thursday evening against Western Kentucky. The public is siding more with the Hilltoppers, although it’s not a true sharp/square battleground.
325 Georgia Tech is catching some pretty decent sharp action, enough to drive the game through a key number.
327 Maryland was hit hard early and while the Terrapins are not in the steam chaser category, the public is mostly agreeing with the early pro move.
346 Illinois is proving to be quite popular with bothe pros and the joes.
347 Virginia Tech is getting sharp play, but the impression received here is that it’s not across the board. There’s actually a one-point differential here at two of the sharper stores I get info from, which is somewhat unusual.
350 North Carolina State is one of the major sharp movers on this week’s board, and this game is shaping up as a pros vs. joes skirmish.
351 Bowling Green is getting some play from the pros despite the fact th Falcons have had a very rough season to date.
356 Navy is getting faded in a big way by the public, but the smarts are backing the Middies.
362 Miami isn’t by any means a smart money landslide, but more of the pro dollars are currently on the ‘Canes.
364 Georgia State drew some early dollars that matter and while this is a low volume game, the squares are playing that side as well.
367 Charlotte is attracting a bit of sharp money as big dogs at Florida Atlantic.
369 UCLA is getting some sharp play, but the main impetus for the line move is realted to the ASU injuries.
378 Texas A&M is getting most of the pro action, while the visiting Volunteers are shaping up as a public dog.
405 UNLV is getting some sharp money, and the wise guys have been doing well with their assessments on the Rebels.
407 Washington State is the sharp money side at Stanford, but the public is favoring the Cardinal.
That’s the rundown to date for this week in the colleges.
