Pool, I'll be at the NAU game, as always. Should be an absolute shoot out. This game features the best collection of receivers of ANY FCS game this year. Elijah Marks (NAU) & Kendrick Bourne (EWU) are #1&2 in receiving yards in FCS. Strangely, they are not the top receiver on their teams. Emmanual Butler has 6 TD's for NAU and will break all school records held by former Ravens receiver Clarence Moore, and do it as a junior. Cooper Kupp is tops for EWU and the best in the nation. His status will be key as he has been sidelined with a hip pointer since Eastern's shootout with North Dakota St. Pass happy EWU leads FCS in passing offense and QB Gabe Gabrud leads in passing yards and has 10 TD's. NAU Soph Case Cookus also has 10 TD's including 7 last week, doing it in 3 qtrs. Cookus won the Jerry Rice award last year for the top Freshman in FCS and threw for 37 TD's. NAU has won the last 3 meetings. The O/U of 82 may be too low. A sold out NAU Skydome will be rockin! GO JACKS!
I also saw Western Illinois play 2 weeks ago hosting NAU. They have a tough task @ 0-3 Northern Illinois Huskies who are desperate for a win. Western has solid players at the skill positions with RB Steve McShane, who plays like Darren Sproles, Lance Lenoir at receiver that has 246 yds on only 12 catches and QB Sean McGuire that manages the game like a third string Belichick guy. It will be a thirsty bunch awaiting them in Dekalb, birthplace of both Supermodel Cindy Crawford and barbed wire. I like NIU to get the win, but Western should keep it close.
Finally, I know 4* from you means something. I'll gladly follow the SEMO guru on that one. Much respect!! BOL to all!!!
