Well...The SEC is not all the great this year , Alabama, Florida, now LSU, So. Carloina, Arkansas......all above average but nothing special with the exception of Alabama, Florida is shit with 3 losses and Tennessee and Georgia lucky to make it to Bowl games...the list goes on ...Ol Miss and MIss St deplorable.....
Understand PAC 10 is not much better (worse) but I know football, and Oregon if they get past USC this weekend in double digit fashion will clean the slate clean boys...mark my words.
Put Oregon and Auburn in the Alamo Dome in Texas on a true Neutral site and let them go at it..Oregon wins by 10.... They would be paying 5 to 6 points guaranteed....
You do realize the SEC West has 5/6 teams ranked in the top 25. Before this weekend, 3 were in the top 10. Out of the 12 teams in the SEC, 6 are ranked in the top 25. The fact is even the mediocre teams in the SEC can make a big statement in another conferance. I love Boise and its a great story, but if you stuck them in a conferance playing top 25 teams week after week, they would loose. Stick them in the SEC they would loose 2 games + in my opinion. In my honest opinion, if the SEC wasnt beating themselves out of top spots, they would win the championship every year. That conferance always has the best recruiting classes and im not talking about one team, im talking 4-5 teams ranked in the top 10 for recruits. No other conferance has that parity if you ask me. I know in the past, I billed the SEC championship game as the NC to me.
There is no doubt that Oregon is a well coached, athletic, football team. They do have one disadvantage though....Size. I really think that if they get matched with a big, physical team that is just as quick and has a downhill running attack, ie. Alabama, they will get beat on a neutral field. That is just my opinion.
