0-1, I like Stanford at -11.5. Stanford was solid last year, but struggled offensively in the red zone, finishing with 8 wins, while Northwestern won 5 games, with one game against a ranked team scheduel. Stanford is replacing much of the defense, but return several key starters and a will have a number of starter who have experience. Stanford's sturggles early in the season were the replcaing most offensive line, which played very well the final four games of the season, and returns 4 starters. Stanford has one of the bets running backs in the country and returns quarterback Hogan as well, who been solid.
Northwestern's recruiting class was poor and the teams defense struggled last year. Northwestern will start a freshmen quarterback and will replace most offensive line. Northwestern returns solid running back and receiver, but offensive line is struggle and new quarterback.
Stanford should be be able to control the line of scrimmage and if northwestern gets behind the first year quarterback with questionable offensive line should struggle.
