In this segment Pauly compares Teddy's CFB Power Poll to that of Phil Steele's.
First they take a look at a few teams that are under the radar that have the potential to be in the top 20. The Bearcats start this list as they are a team that always seems to make money and he feels that they are absolutely loaded this year. They have an explosive offense and a favorable schedule. Watch for this team this year.
Oklahoma State is another team that makes this list and they may just be the 3rd best team in the Big 12. They have a great QB and have TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma at home. Teddy has them right with Oklahoma in his numbers. If they get off to a good start then watch out for them down the stretch.
Minnesota is another team that have been getting a lot of attention. They have surprised the last couple of years as well. They have made Teddy a lot of money and have been overlooked the last couple of years by the media. they are very solid in the trenches, have a good running game and their defense is decent.
San Diego State is the 4th team that are just outside Teddy's top 20, but could make t by the end of the year. The MWC stinks this year, and that gives the Aztecs a very good shot at shining his year. They are not built to blow teams out but they should be a solid play as a dog or on the road. They have a great DL and a solid OL. This is another team to watch this year.
Tennessee is also just outside his top 20. This team has much hype this year and Teddy likes everything that Butch Jones has done in building this team. they are very good in the trenches and will have solid QB play as well. their schedule is not too daunting and that should, have them as a solid play on team for much of the year.
Phil has auburn at 14 and Pauly feels that is too low as the combo of Malzahn and Muschamp is scary. They will be replacing Marshall at QB, but Jeremy Johnson is more than capable of having a solid year. He was highly touted.
Pauly doesn't feel that LSU will do much this year, especially with very little offense. Teddy feels that they will have a solid bounce back year.
Missouri has won the SEC East in BB years and continue to be disrespected. They may be favored in 10 games this year and no one is talking about them this year. Still Teddy doesn't feel they will win the East this year.
Stanford is at #8, but Teddy would like them to open up the offense, especially in the red zone. Teddy does feel that they may open it up some with Hogan now being a senior. This is a team that just continues to produce and be right there each year and they haven't had a losing season ATS since 2007.
