Yes we had Phil Steele on this show breaking down the 2015 CFB season, but Pauly Howard, Stephen Nover and Ken Thomson did their own preview of what to look for this year.
TCU and Baylor are all the talk in the Big 12, and the talk with Baylor is amazing, considering this was never a team you though would be this good for so long.
Ken feels that TCU is the team to beat in the Big 12, as they are loaded and just have so much team speed.Stephen would not be surprised to see them win the Title. They are loaded and their schedule sets up nicely for them.
Pauly can't see Oklahoma as the third best team as they have a tough schedule and are off 5 losses last year. Ken states that have a question mark at QB, but they do have a strong defense.
All the talk this year overall is that Ohio State has already won the national title. Stephen states that he has never seen a team with 3 QBs like Ohio State has. Who gets the job? It is a nice spot for Meyer to be in. Hey why not move Braxton Miller to another position? That's a possibility. Ken likes the team, but isn't onboard that they are the clear cut best team in the nation. He feels that Michigan State has a shot at upsetting them and so does Virginia Tech.
A little Pac-12 talk. UCLA is a loaded team, especially on defense, while Arizona and Arizona State will also be formidable teams as well. UCLA has been stock piling players the last few year and it should come to fruition this year.
Stanford has some holes to fill, especially on the defensive side of the ball where they were very strong last year.
On to Wisconsin, who has a strong OL and running game, but they need more consistency at QB. They do have a new coach, but Ken expects Paul Chryst to settle the team down, especially on offense.
Oregon got hit on defense some, and they have to break in a new QB.
Ken has Arkansas to win the SEC. They have a very strong OL and are going to run the ball right down their opponents throat. THis is a very strong team this year.
In the ACC where Clemson may have one of the best QB's in the country, but they do lose some key players from their defense and along their OL.
Florida State is a questionable team. They had plenty of off the field issues and also lost some key players on the field. They have a new QB, so they may struggle this year. It will be between Florida State and Clemson in the ACC Atlantic division, while Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech should battle it out in the Atlantic.
As for Alabama, Ken feels that have a lot to replace and have a lot of proving to do.
