Alabama would struggle in the Big 12 ?
Umnnn , that is kind of funny.
Was last year's SEC the best Conference in Football still ? Yep
But at the same time it was the weakest the SEC has been in a while thanks to 3 of the top 5 teams losing their starting QB's.
This Conference won 7 National Championships in a row , that just doesn't happen based on perception.
Perception will get you there but I won't win it for you. Perception got Ohio State to the BCS Title game in 07 & 08 only to lose by double digits both times to SEC teams. 27 pt loss to UF and 14 pt loss to LSU.
The SEC is the best Conference from top to Bottom in College Football, yea it feels like other conferences are starting to close that gap down again but for now it is what it is.
As for the Bowl games, well they mean absolutely nothing to me unless it is the Final 4. If you are in the SEC your goal is the Nat'l Championship or Bust. They just don't care that much about anything else. So many of the kids on the top SEC teams are likely to play professional. If I had my entire career ahead of me I probably would not even want to play a non championship Bowl game and I'm pretty damn sure they feel the same way.
Btw, Boise State would win 2-3 games playing in the SEC West last year. Awful comparison.
