I don't consistently bet on player props or futures but I wanted to rack the brains of the fine gentleman here on the forums to get some advice before I make a few wagers this year. I feel like there is no value in J. Winston both because of the short odds and the fact that I don't see him putting together a season legendary enough to warrant getting 2 Heismans. Other than Winston, I think Mariota and Braxton Miller are in that same elite tier with a good chance to win and then there is a substantial drop off to the rest of the guys. So, should I approach this by putting say 3 units each on Mariota and Miller and then making a few other wagers totaling about 1 unit on some guys that will at least potentially have the opportunity to be in a game with a Heisman-type stage? Also it is a waste betting on anyone other than a QB given the current state of the college game?
Leans:
Mariota: 5-1
Miller: 11-2
Nick Marshall: 25-1
Mannion: 28-1
Duke Johnson: 33-1
