If you wanna go against Bama...you might wanna look at all those points their givin up against Ole Miss. Hard to get up for ole miss nowadays....its like even if you do blow em out...you didnt impress anybody. They will be conservative against ole miss i think.

the Akron Hammer

Bama will struggle in this game ....all of you talk about there talent and how good they are there completely different without a power running back...watching spring practices and they have a new offensive coordinator there whole system will be different and did this offensive coordinator even call the plays in his last role no....very new green system going up against a system where the offensive coordinator is one of the best in the country in the west coast system (michigan oc) the west coast is bulit for an over aggressive defense who doesnt follow keys...as well the qb for michigan can run....michigan will score in this game...

Lacy had turf toe and Sims hip kept them out of spring game. Fowler is solid and Hart and Yeldon have never seen the field so they may or may not be super stars plus McCarron is one if not the best QBs we have had in a long time(we are not known for QBs since Namath).  We have more speed in the backfield and the new OC may open it up a bit.  How does Michigan game plan defensively when we don't know what they will do?  When did a Saban defense become undisciplined and stop following keys?

Saban teams known for domination physical at each position, that is his team m/o. As he tells his team, "I want you at your position to make the other guy quit".

Saban has anounced that his team came back this fall with the best off season conditioning of any team he has had at BAMA

I believe that Saban likes meeting challenges, his this year is similar to the 2010 year when BAMA came off a NC & lost 3 games. Does Saban learn from the past, I think so. This is very fresh on his mind & I believe he likes this challenge again.

He & team will be physically & mentally prepared for the season.

REMEMBER, GAMBLING IS A LOT LIKE GOLF & TAXES, YOU SPEND ALL YOUR TIME TRYING TO GET TO THE 'GREEN' & END UP GOING IN THE 'HOLE' !!! CPA, NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE VALUE!!!

toofdoc are u an alabama fan? im guessin yes ....im not a fan of michigan or alabama im lookin at this objectively, there is a learning curve for a new offensive coordinator which alabama has....defensively alabama struggles historically even in there championship years against teams that run a proformation set and use double tight ends ....in fact last year vs a very very inferior tennessee they struggled for the first half and tennessee was using all bloody freshman and sophmores.....michigan has a weapon in there offensive coordinator he is the all time best at running a west coast since probably bill walsh....and the west coast offense is made ....tailor made for stopping an overpersuing defense like alabama is....michigan has talent as well.....not as much as alabama ill give u that....but better coached offense definetely and suprising defense.....as well as alabama has not established yet who there major contributors will be (dont have the all say man like trent richardson)......

................and talking about coaching as well saban does not do well when an offensive system goes against his 3-4 and makes him make adjustments .....in saying that if he has to switch to any other alignment as his 4-2-5 which is what he did vs auburn 2 years ago when talent is about even or when he must switch to a 4=3 which he will have to to stop michigan....that isntthe players he recruited them for or there assignments its totally different....players that he recruits are protypical 3=4 players....marcel darius...comes to mind but when there formation changes to a 4-3 they (the players have) different assisgnments and responsibilities ......if alabama stays in a 3-4 they will zone block them to death....and have control of a and b gaps....c gap will be covered....if they switch which they will they will not be in the defense that they were recruited for and a and b will be covered which opens c on either side...if they michigan veer options them....and do what oregon would do...they will letthe defensive tackle free and down block the defensive end.......

which brings me to my next point....last years game here was oregon vs lsu...lsu defense is the 4-3 they could shut down a and b gap up front which means the qb is open but thomas for oregon was very whats the word scared to run .....this qb for michigan is not....he loves it and when they switch there dead on defense....bec now u flip the field and u have a person who runs a 4.7 vs a qb that runs a 4.3 .....will be his assignment for c gap...

the other thing about this game that intrigues me is what i personally already know about the west coastoffense....u have to ...have to ...have an advantage at rb or te....what does michigan have....well a top 9 te in college football that is a senior...6-5 255 in moore...matched up w him will be nico or hubbard...not the lbs of last year which was there strongest ever at alabama....

rb ......once again nico or hubbard nico is a sophomore....problem there and playing out of position bec they will be in a 4-3....

even if they cover those players....who is left to pressure the qb ....my assumption is that they will bring a cb up and blitz off the edge and try to funnel him away from the wide sidelines bec hey thats what saban does but the counter and traps will be easy to see coming off of that in the running game because they can outflank a defense with two tight end sets and that means its one on one coverage .in the passing game.....and if the cb doesnt get there look out big plays will be a coming.....

this game is a close game....either way im seeing a 7 point game...it will come down to the end....

Big I knows bama football, what up biggie??

Akron are you suggesting Michigan ML??  Please stop it..........

I've felt bama has been overchalked for two years and have often gone against "thinking" the spread value was in my favor taking the lesser opponent.......... you know what?  I've gotten my ass torched on such stinking thinking.

While even still, I had this game at Bama (-9); thus I feel like the terd are overchalked again; however,  think it would be wiser to play mumblypeg w/ myself.

Pro-better know better than to unload here.  Tempting big game opener, but vegas is all over this one - as they really have to be.

Bama is going to ground and pound and win TOP.  I do not see how Michigan will stop bama's brute force and by late 4th, bama mo than likely go jog-jog-jog down the field.  If mich gets desperate, bama will unload with pain, may ruin the rest of wolves season if they go do are die.  Don't think mich qb is best passer and their o-line will be eaten like lunch.

Stop one guy, should not be problem.  Hell, LSU is still trying to find the 50 yard line.

My Opinion:  Save your hard earned dough for better op's.  Will I?  Probably not.  But mo than likely won't take a side here and "fool" around w/ my luck on the total.  Over the total that is, as 'bama will keep a two score margin and mich will have plenty of 3 n' outs.  If I do throw down, won't be large marge, that's for sure. Here's just one reason why Michigan wont do shit....

His name is Jesse Williams & he started all 13 games last year at nose tackle...This big ass Aussie is benching well over 600lbs and is a guaranteed plug in the middle......Bama's D is going to anal rape Denard Robinson!

The only intangible is somehow Michigan historically has the SEC's number. This includes when in the big underdog role (vs. Florida) or biggest stage (Orange Bowl vs. Alabama). If you took this game and the time they were double digits vs. a high scoring Florida squad it would be hard to say Bama is the better bet. The Gators were supposed to blow the doors of "slow" Michigan with all that SEC speed and talent. Never happened.

Can always hope :)
