"EVERY DOG HAS HIS DAY"
If James Franklin were healthy I could have seen them (Mizzou) as possibly the second team behind Oklahoma. I'd say the Aggies would have been middle of the pack. A team to watch this year in that conference will be Kansas State. I look for Oklahoma State to fall back.
Thanks for your reply Spartan! I was figuring both A&M & Mizzou would be front runners if they were still in the Big12, but I'm not as familiar with that conference since I really don't follow it, which is why I was differing to y'all Big 12 experts!......I've seen a lot of talk about Mizzou's Center havig a breakout season this year, but I'm skeptical to how y'all's Offenseive & Defensive line will hold up this year? Seems to me, y'all are stacked with skill set players & linebackers, but will be a bit "light' in the trenches..........on the flip side, I'm loving A&M's O-Line coming into the SEC but it's unreal the monsters they'll be blocking in the SEC. I think that gives their offense a chance......I know one thing Spartn, James Franklin ain't running around in the SEC like he did last season unless his name is Cam Newton. Ms. State was a option based offense & Relf really took a beating & Relf big tuff son o' bitch. He was only healthy for about 6 or so games..couple that with Franklin's Health in question & I don't see him finishing the season if he keeps running the ball........Y'all were the hardest team for me to evaluate & yall's first two SEC games will let everyone know how y'all will stack up in the SEC! It's going to be a good football year!
, can't wait!:.............What are the Mizzou fan base's expectation for this 1st year in the SEC & will that QB transferin hurt yall any for depth? I know some think they can win the East, but I think that injury bug will take a toll on y'all by the end of the season & there might be some growing pains this year....
No question in my mind Mizzou will have some growing pain. Even if Franklin is 100% I doubt that he'll stay that way. And the lines on both sides of the ball could use a little more sand in the bucket. That opener against Georgia here in Columbia is the most highly anticipated opener in my lifetime. That stadium will be insane but the Tigers clearly will have their hands full. The Tigers also have, in my humble opinion an OC in David Yost who is way too pass happy to contend in that conference. Now, when it comes to hoops we'll speak again. The Tigers are going to be very, very good on the hardwood. Good luck Griff, going to be a helluva thing to watch develop. I cannot wait to attend some of these road games in a new league. THE league!
Dang, I completely forgot those 2 are allready out of the Big12. Oh yeah there will be some growing pains coming into a new conf, just ask the Huskers.
I am a Pregame.com Director of the Boards! 2010-2011 CFB/NFL Combined 60-42
Aww man, the SEC just became a perinal powerhouse in the hardwood with y'all & A&M added to the Conf! A game that might not make TV this football season that i was looking forward to was Vandy@Mizzou this year...I can see this game developing into a but if a rivalry.... That's goin to be a good one & in the Hardwood the coming season too!
Good to here from you JohnnyMo, how y'all likin the Big 10?
Well Griff I will tell Ya something. Before the start of the seaon last Year everyone talked about how Physical the Big Ten was. I thought BS, We will rule, well guess what, a Pie should be thrown right into My face. One tough physical Conference top to bottom. Indiana and Minnesota is the only real weak links, and they should improve from last Year. It will be hard for us this year. Took some major losses on defense. You Guys at Southern Miss will give us all We want.
John, if ya'll didn't have a pussy for a QB that constantly whines :)
Spartan, I can feel the early tremors ripplin' from Columbia already; big game. Geo dawgs got a fight on their hands, and are walkin' into very hostile territory. I will be rooting for tigers.......
Griff, we'll just stick the aggies in a round room and tell 'em to find the corner.......
Always glad to have your input RB & agree the Aggies just walked into The Thunderdome....in a few years with the big state of Texas to recruit from and the prospect of playing in the SEC, they could be a top the conference.....but that will Be several years down the road.....
