moving in right direction but......a selection committee will be involved........smell trouble there, the NCAA hoops has 60+ teams and still have issues with who gets in and left out.
Can see 3 teams being solid choices and then several teams with legit reasons to be #4.....which means alot more people ticked off,lol.
will not start til 2014.....who knows how long before we get to 8.......no matter what someone will always feel a team got dissed, but they should have done 8 starting in 2014...probably not feasible anyway to do more with amount of games it would add and extend season.
Agree its a start but they should have started off with 8 teams instead of 4 because there is gonna be 3-4 teams complaining about not getting that 4 spot. If they had just made it an 8 team playoff from the start it would have been good becuase those teams that were on the bubble at 9 and 10 dont have anywhere near the same chance to win the national title as the 5 and 6s would. Plus it would only take an extra week to play the 8 team playoff so scheduling shouldnt be difficult.

agree, and why bring a commitee into it?...use the rankings and the top four are in.......one other thing is I dont htinkthey should put out rankings til mid October...see how things fall and you have better idea of who top teams are and adjust as season moves forward.

Yeah they should just use the rankings, the reason they are having a selection commitee is so they can ultimately control who the 4 teams are that get to play, which leaves the door wide open for someone to get the shaft. At least if it was left up to the rankings then the team who finishes ranked fifth cant blame a committee, it would have been ultimately decided by a bunch of different voters from all over the country and they would have less of a reason to complain with such a large sample size of votes. In other words, majority rules and the majority had you ranked at 5.
How many total games are we asking these youngsters to play in a season? And with the moving about across the country to play these games.. we must realize that this is time they are not in the classroom.. and remember they are college students first and foremost (or should be...)
