you cant say hes free to do what he wants and then knock him in 2 paragraphs for praying.

Yes I can.  That's what America and freedom are all about.  People are free to do all sorts things of things that I may not like, or may think are inappropriate, and  that I may exercise my freedom of speech to criticize.

It is not logically inconsistent for me to support his right to pray, but to say that it is inappropriate to make a public display of it.  i also support your right to engage in any consensual practices you choose, but that doesn't mean I won't knock you for doing it on your front lawn (especially if you didn't notify me so I could watch).

We don't refer to them as religious freaks.  We use the more politically correct term, "Tebow Fans."  Smile

I think it is great that he has prayer before game.  I don't see anything wrong it and really find it interesting that it offends people.  That's all.

While your opinion is your own and you are definately free to express it, it is very troubling to hear you are so offended by a public display of prayer.  Teams regulary gather at the end of a game and pray together.  If find it refreshing to root for a kid that is real and genuine in his religious beliefs.  Maybe he should be like the rest of them and thank god and then go get a DUI or beat their girlfriend.  If you think he is praying for god's help, your an idiot.  Praying for strength and courage to compete is done by more athlete's than seen on TV.  If the media chooses to cover his every move and blow it out proportion, that's on on them.  For anyone offended by praying, that's on them.  I find your view of him sad in a way...the guy was more excited to spend time with a young sick girl Sunday night than basketing in the glory of the teams win.  Lighten up and appreciate a honest hardworking young man.

LOL, u should pray every night dat u will will above .500

LOL  I do, I do.  And then every night after the games are over, just lke Tim Tebow, I kneel down and say, "My father, why hast thou forsaken me?"

The only difference between Tebow and me is that I don't wait until I am in the middle of Times Square, nor do I rent space in Macy's window on Big Sale Day to do that praying.

Those aren't bad ideas though.  If I start praying before and after the games in the middle of Times Square, or rent space in Macy's window, the media is bound to notice me.  Mybe I'll also start kneeling in front of the betting windows at the Hilton Superbook.  I will then become the most famous handicapper in the world, and make a gazillion.  It's not my fault that the media will decide to follow my every move as I intentionally kneel down to pray in the middle of the Hilton Sports Book, and then make a big deal out of my prayers.

When I'm famous, just like Tebow, nobody will care if I only win 46.5% of my attempts.  You will all praise my abilities and courage in the face of insurmountable odds.

In fact, thanks for the idea.  Watch for me appearing soon on your local news and sports network..
