HAHA, yeah seriously who is rob crowne.  why people on tebow so much

Rob Crowne is the guy who was right about the game going over the total.  For you Tebow fans I told you he would score points in this game.  He did.  For you God fans, I told you God would do it for him.  He did.  If Tebow's quaterbacking were as accurate as those predictions he wouldn't have a 46% completion record.

I can't help Tebow's completion stats.  Would you prefer I lied about them or just ignored them?

As for his religion, that's fine.  Never said it wasn't his right. But all that public kneeling and praying is not necessary to be religious.  If he is going to kneel down and pray before and after each game, then anyone who believes in God  must believe that either God is ignoring Tebow, or refuses to help Tebow, or that Tebow would have been much worse without God's help.  I supported the last of those options.  I think that's the best option for fans of praying athletes, but you can have it any way you prefer.  Pick any ot the three possible conclusions you wish.

If Tebow doesn't like that choice of conclusions, then maybe he ought to do his praying in the locker room, and start showing off with his quarterbacking instead of with his kneeling.  Using God instead of your play to become famous and get national publicity hardly flatters religion.  All that public praying appears to me and many others to be nothing more than a bid for fame from an athlete who can't get it from his talents.  It insults the truly pious.  No wonder God seems to be ignoring him.

I find myself agreeing with you.   Of course he gets the credit.  He really isn't as bad as his stats.  Did you think that the reason I picked he "over" was that I communed with God and He said He would finally give Tebow a break?  Big SmileNothing I said maligned Tebow except for his record.  As I said, his record is what it is.  I didn't create it and I can't change it.  I can only state it.  It's Tebow who seems to want us to believe his record is created by God rather than by Tebow.  That raises the question: If God is perfect then why is Tebow's record less than perfect?    I support your assertion that Tebow and not God is responsible for his own performance, and I correctly predicted that against the Pitt defense, Tebow would not be as bad as his stats appeared.  We are actually on the same side.  Surprise

If, however, you do needmoney I would begin following Aaron Rodgers and forget Tebow.

so throwing game winning touchdown pass isnt good enough? secondly you are shalow to assume he prays strictly to have a "amazing game". maybe he prays to be protected and play to the best of his abilities. you say gods ignoring him yet call his succes (game winning touchdown) all gods work. hmmm. and i dont see his praying to be a bid for fame. you cant say hes free to do what he wants and then knock him in 2 paragraphs for praying.

I don't knock him for praying and I have not knocked him for praying.  I knock him for making a constant public display of his praying.  As I said previously, he can pray just as well in the locker room, at home before the game, or in his car in the parking lot.  The only reason I can find for making a public display of a private matter is exhbitionism and a desire for exactly what he got -- fame for it.

There is no doubt that plenty of people pray for plenty of personal reasons.  You just don't know it because they don't use religion to showboat.  When is the last time you saw the announcers at the game kneel down and pray on camera for whatever they may desire?  Some announcers have been very religious, they just didn't feel the need to show it off.  That's not religion, that's egotism.

Think about it.  Exactly how appropriate is it to pray before, after and in the midst of participating in violence for the mere sport of it?  Where do you think prayer as a Christian would be more appropriate --  at home, in the Church you pass on the way to work, in the privacy of the locker room before anyone else arrives, or publicly on the field of play of a violent sport?

What's next?  Are people going to tell me Sidney Spies really thinks that not allowing her Playboy audition picture to be used as her senior photo in the H.S. Yearbook is a wrongful hampering of her freedom of expression?  I'm all in favor of sexy photos, even in yearbooks, but that doesn't mean I believe that Sidney Spies and her mother are motivated by concerns over civil liberties.  The submission of that picture and notification of the news media to make the submission public was nothing more than a clever way to make a not very special HS girl famous and in demand for modeling jobs she would have never otherwise gotten.  Girls much prettier than Sidney Spies carry their portfolios around NYC and Los Angeles every day.  They will never make the money that Spies now will.  I give her and her mother credit for their cleverness.  Sidney would otherwise have been ignored in the NYC modeling market.  I also appreciate the PR brilliance of Lady Gaga and her meat dress, and of Madonna and her sexy picture book.

Finally, I give Tebow credit for finding a way to become even more well known than Aaron Rodgers.  It would not surprise me if he earns more money from promotions than Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, and many other top quarterbacks.  He portrays the squeaky clean image that makes the bible belt buy products.  That doesn't mean I shouldn't call it for what it is or pretend it is something other than what it is.  My mother didn't raise any suckers.

That's because I'm a blasphemous SOB.  Big Smile  If I pray, maybe I can get to 46% and you will love me.

Would you like to join me?  All together now . . .

The Lord is my shepherd,

I shall not want for winners.

He maketh me to lie down in piles of greenbacks

Now you know you I can't lose my plays tomorrow.  I suggest you jump on.

In the meantime, LSU's offense looked better before they made their adjustments.  I'm going to need to sign off and start flagellating myself with a stick of thorns before its too late.
