I'm quite sure I'll be put down and attacked by most posters here for taking this stand, and perhaps you'll ban me or something for doing so, but I don't mind being the scapegoat.  Someone's got to do it.  In fact, this will be an interesting test for the new respect thing.  Let's see some of the responses to this.

I understand Hizz has been here forever and has a huge following.  Kudos to him for that.  But, I would submit that along with that, and his designation of Director of the Boards, that there should be a higher standard, not a lower one.  Usually, that's how it works.  The way I read your post, RJ, you are saying that Hizz is hands-off, no one is allowed to upset him, he can do what ever he wants, post any record he wants, and lash back at anyone he doesn't agree with.  Am I wrong?

Listen, in the end I understand this isn't really a big deal, I'm glad Hizz will return and I'm glad his supporters are happy.  I was just hoping that the ability to to question and disagree with someone in a reasonable manner truly existing in this forum. On both sides.  Doesn't criticism make you better?  Won't that help each of us win?

You've had your say about record keeping. Now we are at the "agree to disagree" stage. If you expect the right to have your say, then Pregame is for you. If you expect everyone to agree with you, then Pregame is not for you.

RJ even the negative commentary has valid points and I like your position about listening to them. If you want to improve listen to the complaints and ignore the smoke blowing as an jnduary. I think hizz should delete his record in his signature personally but that's just me. I also agree with the poster who said you should never follow a picker until you have observed them. I did this Wil did.  I missed lots of money but I'm a solidly follower. No drama. No bs.  

I think records should be banned in signature lines. If you want to track your record for public consumption ise my picks. It's not perfect but that's where I look everyday to see whose on a streak. Look nothing is great but I've jumped in to follow a guy because their signature line said 88-45 only to find out that hasn't been updated in a year or that it doesn't count 1*wagers. I can only imagine what a brand new guy who comes here finds.

Good luck RJ. Hizz had been very emotional all year in my opinion. He jumped my ship for no reason earlier in the year and ive paid him little attention ever since. I've thought a lot about him in the past but when people had questions quite frankly it was a kiss my arse if you don't like it attitude and that is uncalled for.  Don't post a record if you don't want to answer questions.  .  never thought he was leaving but if his attention brings about positive change for everyone then there is a benefit. If this is just a protect hizz program then that is a shame. I hope you use this to make a good analysis and evolution of the site's programming but remember this. There are hundreds of people here who post picks and don't keep records, they don't brag and they don't look for fame. They just come here and share. That's what I remember this site (and the precedesor) being built about (beyond the paid picks store of course).

And let me also say that the personal assaults and batching thrown at Hizz were just as pitiful as his responses to them.  One would hope they can all take a note from this.  I've always said if you don't like someone don't read their posts.  It really is that simple. Until this drama of leaving I hadn't read or posted on his threads since October or September maybe. I hope the negative bitchers will just ease up and move on now that he is no longer going to keep a record.  If you like hizz the you don't care what his record is.at this point it's just a bragging right and God knows he likes to brag when he's up. I could go on and a on about kj, spartan, skills, Griff, doc, dman, on and on about folks who have never bothered with a record but they are always contributing. Again good luck. This one area has always been tricky for you to manage just don't run people off just because they disagree.

I am not sure what's going on (not specifically HIZZ follower or a hater). Psychologically, I think when things are this crazy it reflects on picks too. I personally would not follow right now. Just my 2c.
