Being a huge cbball and CFB fan, and knowing I'd rather watch a middle of the pack SEC football game over any Big 10 game, yet living in the Midwest. I never did any in depth research on Mark Richt, nor did I ever have an opinion on him good or bad, yet have watched his team's play for 15 years. After watching his news conference, I've concluded, he is an awesome person who has an unbelievable way to make his players feel they matter and he cares about them. controlled "PASSION" is what I call that. Where ever he ends up, it will take less than 2 years to know if he's still has that passion. 30+ years in coaching, and the last 15 at Georgia takes its emotional toll and today it was obvious that Georgia has his heart. Knowing the occupation, knowing the AD, and the coaches and kids, Mark also teaches action and reaction. That's what most coaches need to be able to do better. Mr. Richt had some violations at Georgia, and I think it was because he paid assistants $ out of his own pocket because they didn't receive bonuses or bowl game checks etc. NCAA cited Richt and assistant's for supplement pay. OK! He understands that 15 years at one place in today's world is a long time. You can't teach HEART! I want Passion and Heart on my team. Kudos to Mark Richt!!
