So, obviously NCAAF teasers suck because teams score too much, sometimes teams don't have enough familiarity with a team/system, and just not knowing if Billy QB is down in the dumps because his girlfriend hooked up with Jason the WR. Well, to try to account for at least most of those factors, when I tease NCAAF, I use the following criteria:
- 2 teamers have to be +100 or better, (they were +102 at Heritage for me for a time)
- Crossing the 3 and 7. (MUST get at least up to 7.5/down to 2.5)
- Game total is 47 or less, (theoretically less variance, although I pushed a teaser earlier this year in a game where only 13 point were scored).
- In-Conference game, (more familiarity with teams/systems)
Most weeks, these criteria only allow for 1-3 teasable teams, but this week, there are 6 that qualify(I use approximate average line on my screen for each line, thus 1.6, 46.7, etc):
146 Michigan +1.6/46.7
152 Michigan St -7.5/43.9
162 Syracuse +2.3/39
188 Florida +2.5/44
196 Illinois +1.8/42
212 Minnesota +2.2/43.9
I have done no handicapping beyond what I have stated here, and have round-robined all of these together as two-teamers all for the same 1 unit bet at +100, which results in 15 two team teasers. I do not recommend 3,4,5 or 6 team teasers unless you can get better than +180/+300/+450/+700(?) which also roughly translate to same EV as 2 teamers at +100 with a LOT more variance.
