Central Florida / TT 7 UNDER
Here is a team that has lost a ton of talent on both sides of the ball...Season win total is at 7..Needing 8 games to beat us looks very tough IMO...I tend to look at the home schedule for CFB when i really have to decide what a team may or may not do this year...UCF only brings backa total of 9 starters on this team..Perriman the NFL WR is now gone and the defense that was very good last year has about 7 holes to fill..The backend of this defense may struggle for a large majority of the season...The offense will struggle in the passing game..They lost a 3 starting WR's and a backup RB...The Knights had a ton of yards last year through the air...2,952 in fact...The guys that departed factored into about 2300 of them yards..I don't see how they fill that type of gap with the drastic talent gap now....12 games on the schedule and i need to find 5 losses...
Sept 12 @ Stanford - It will be a huge upset for UCF to travel from Florida to Cali and knock off the Cardinal in week two.
Sept 26 @ So. Car - This game might be a bit closer for the Gamecocks..I;m not 100% sold on them, but the Knights wont have enough firepower to deal with them at Williams-Brice in Columbia
Oct 31 @ Cinn - I have the Bearcats as one of the better teams in this conf..Going into Cinn after a taking on Houston and Temple in back to back weeks looks very tough..Health may be a concern when this game comes.
Take you pick / Oct 17 @ Temple or Oct 24 HOME Houston
Temple is going to be loaded this year..They will have a very good defense..I don't see the talent for UCF taking care of business here..Temple should be much improved on offense and the Owls will get the nod here.
Houston is almost in the same boat as Temple...The defense will be very good, but i think the Houston offense will surprise this year...This may be a win or lose game here for the Knights..I feel a loss is def not out of the cards.
***Deciding games are ECU at home...and the two road games against Tulane and Tulsa...Both teams can surprise at home.....I don't like the fact that Tulane and Tulsa come on back to back road trips for them..
So i stand at about 6 wins on the year for this club. I just don;t see enough from last year..They lost some real talent off this club and filling the holes here is going to be a real challenge.
Wins = Furman, Uconn, USF, FIU, and finding a 5 is tight and a 6th win is a real stretch for me right now..They can split the Tulsa/Tulane road games, but they would need to knock off ECU and one of the road games they have as well..Not going to happen.
