I think most of us agree that by the end of the year in the Bowl Games the SEC is likely over-rated.
However, during the regular season non conference, (mostly in September) I show the SEC going 21-12 ATS. The obvious question then is, How can a conference be over rated when it covers 60% of the time?
For all the talk of the SEC being over hyped, it sure looks like the betters under estimate just how good these teams are. The poster child games for this are the following:
Utah State @ Ten (Ten won 38-7).
Mizzouri @ Toledo (Missouri won 49-24).
That is all well and good, are clearly these SEC teams covered those games. Before scolling down to see the point spreads go ahead and throw out what you think the closing number was on those games?
-------------------------------------
I have to admit I was pretty shocked by them
---------------------------------------------------
Have you written your numbers down?
-----------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
Don't peak
---------------------------------------------------------
The numbers are almost unbelievable
----------------------------------------------
TEN closed -3.
Mizz closed -3.5.

The SEC..........THE most under rated conference in CFB? A conference where a middle tier team like Ten at home lays -3 vs. a Mountain West team traveling over 1000 miles to a foreign hostile unknown stadium........
