The Mizzou Tigers stayed on track last week as they took care of business against a very solid Central Florida club. Who, by the way has a young quarterback with a rifle for an arm. It was a nice Triple Star winner for my clients and I. I felt like the Tigers would assert themselves as the game wore on and they did exactly that. The team was hoping to stay unbeaten when they hit the road to South Carolina for a key battle next week and they are in a prime position to do it. Here is the deal, they have a Big 10 team coming to town in Indiana and they are not taking them seriously. The Hoosiers can score on this Mizzou defense. The way I see it unless Shane Ray and Markus Golden can wreak utter havoc on the the Indiana line and backfield the Hoosiers could be a total pain in the ass all day long. The Tigers defensive unit as a whole is still very, very much a work in progress. Steckel has been putting in insane hours tweaking, prodding and plotting schemes for his unit. There is not a harder working DC in college football. Last week I didn't want to tip my hand as I knew I was firing a Triple on the game and it's just not fair to paying subscribers. I can tell you quite candidly I am likely passing this week. Both key running backs are not 100%, Marcus Murphy suffered a slight sprain but anyone who has played ball knows an ankle sprain, however slight, can take the edge off cuts. And that is what Marcus does best, cut a near full speed and make guys miss. Also, Russell Hansbrough suffered a real snot bubbler of a blow against the Knights that left him not certain of not only what state he was residing in but his name. Naturally in today's world of major college football the team is leery of using the "C" word. But I'm hearing the kid's brain was scrambled pretty good. Not sure what will come of that this week. Listen, this Tiger team could, and should, blow this Hoosier team right off the field this weekend. But, I do not feel they are, at this point, giving Indiana the respect needed. They are dead set on getting ready for the Gamecocks in the ESPN prime time battle next saturday. Too dicey for me right now.
Now, on the business side. I lost a Triple Star last night on the Colts. Many times in sports betting you feel after a game you still had the right side regardless and that is the case here. No excuses, it lost. That is what matters. Here are the hard, cold numbers in football as it stands today. No spin, no bullshit, just the numbers. In college ball the mark stands at 17-8 and we are up 13 units. In the NFL the record is 7-6 and we are down 1.1 unit. In college ball the Triple Stars are a perfect 3-0 to date. In the NFL the Triples are 1-2 after the game last night. Either you tell it like it is or you choose not to. There are some upset people after last night but the stubborn fact is my clients and I are up in football 11.9 units profit. The Triples are overall 4-2. I am not sure why the attitude with some. I cannot win them all, there WILL be losing weeks. I have a news flash, they happen to everyone. Some services just choose to ignore them and only focus on the good. I never really got that, their clients know. Acknowledge the bad and learn from the game and put that knowledge to use later on. It's not hard.
Anyway, I do have a College Triple loaded for this saturday. Hopefully the college Triples will move to 4-0. It WILL be the only college triple I have in play. Last saturday we went 9-1. I doubt I will have that much action in play this week but I do have some games I have my eye on. This triple just stood out to me. That is it for now guys. Thanks for stopping in and best of luck this week with your action. Back to work!
