In today's Big Conversation, Scott and Ken discuss which CFB conference is better, the SEC or the Pac-12?
THis topic is really heating up the closer we get to the start of the CFB season.
Scott states that the Pac-12 just doesn't get its just due east of Utah, unless USC is really at the top of their game.
Ken has both conferences as balanced as they have ever been. The Mississippi schools are both relevant again in the SEC, while Stoops is doing a great job recruiting at Kentucky. Vanderbilt is taking a step back, but Mason Will rebuild this team.
For the Pac-12, Colorado is on their way back up and Cal should be a better team as well after dealing with a ton of injuries last year.
SEC has 5 teams in the top 13 and 8 in the top 25, while the Pac-12 has 4 teams in the top 15 and 6 in the top 25.
Scott really has a problem with Missouri in the top 25 and Ken agrees. He doesn't think they can challenge in the eastern side of the SEC.
In the Pac-12 they are loaded at the top with UCLA, Oregon and USC. Arizona State is in the top 25, but Scott is not totally sold on this team. Ken feels the defense will be better and with 9 starters back on offense he feels that no matter what they can outscore teams.
Scott is a fan of the Stanford Cardinal team, but would love to see more imagination on offense. Ken feels they are a strong team.
Scott feels that the top 3 teams in the PAC-12 are better as a whole than the top 3 teams in the SEC, but the conferences as a whole he feels the SEC may be just a bit better.
