2014 is Tulsa's first year in the AAC, but with the team's offense falling apart in 2013, things could get rough and tough. The Golden Hurricanes and Head Coach Bill Blankenship need to come up with wins early in the season if they are serious about bowl eligibility.
Three of four of Tulsa's lowest projected rivals, come in the first four games. and three wins in their first four games, could set the table nicely for a pretty good year. Tulsa QB Dane Evans is going to really have to play well and lead the way by making some big plays himself. With a very young supporting cast around him, they are talented enough to do one thing early in the season. That is, beat the hell out of Tulane, at home in Tulsa, on August 28, 2014.
Take advantage of this soft spot and take TULSA -5 1/2 (buy the 1/2 moving it down from 6 to 5 1/2.. Tulane is simply not going to improve, and certainly should not get its second bowl bid in a row.
