In What Did Bettors Learn, Ken & RJ discuss looking for an edge in baseball
Major League baseball is a grind and you have to stay on top of it. Sometimes just trying to figure teams out is impossible.
There are teams that Ken will look to stays away down the stretch, like the Detroit Tigers, who he just can't figure out.
This may be the time of year when to look more at the totals. If you don't have a feel for a team, then we as bettors don't have to bet them. That is the advantage we have, where as the bookmakers must put on lines on all games.
The Tigers had a slump in the middle of the year and then went on another run and Ken felt this was the team we were expecting to seen and then they struggled at the Angels. Hard to imagine with the best hitter in baseball on their team.
Verlander is another mystery. Ken thought he had good play on Verlander as a dog, then he got shut out 4-0.
Ken feels it pays to play the dogs in baseball.
