With Detroit coming up the "W" last night over the Angels our record comes to (4 - 2) for our underdog games
Tonight for the first time we are going to go with 2 underdog games tonight
Our first game tonight:
We are going with Toronto +118 over the Yankees
Whenever you have Mark Buehrle pitching as an underdog regardless of whoever the opponent is, it's hard to pass that up. Buehrle has definitely had his trouble with Yankees but we look for him to turn things around. Buehrle has put up a strong 2.86 ERA this season with a (10 - 6) record. Buehrle is also (9 - 4) this season in night games when Kuroda has struggled at night with a (4-10) record
But lets look at some other trends that have us leaning towards Toronto:
Buehrle is (9 - 1) this season against the money line after a win
Buehrle is (15 - 7) against the money line when the total is set to 8 - 8.5 over the last 2 seasons
Toronto after 3 or more consecutive wins is (11 - 4) while the Yankees are (4 - 7) after 3 or more consecutive wins
Yankees are also having trouble scoring runs at home with season with only posting 3.6 r/gm
With the second game tonight:
We are going with Boston +126 over the Tampa Bay Rays
Jon Lester, a strong lefty, on the mound for Boston tonight has an impressive 2.50 ERA this season. With Tampa being
(11 - 17) and only average 3.6 runs/game against lefties this season I expect for Lester to have a strong performance tonight.
Lets look at some other trends that have us leaning towards Boston tonight:
Lester is (9 - 1), (8 - 1) on the road, against the money line when the total is set at 7 or less over the last 2 seasons
Lester is (19 - 7) against the money line after a loss over the last 2 seasons
Price is (19 - 25) against the money line when the total is set to 7 or less since 1997
Tampa Bay is also (3 - 7) this season after shutting out their opponent in the previous game
