Good Afternoon -
2-2 last night on what looked to be a 3-1 evening. I really thought the Mariners/Mets could muster up 1 more run than they scored, but it didn't work out that way. So we start the week 2-2. We don't make excuses; instead back to work for me today...and I will keep doing what I have been doing, which is putting in the work, keeping my head down, and cranking out winners for you guys. What sucks though is the plays posted here went 0-2...so I definitely apologize for that. Never like to see people NOT make money on my free plays. Bouncing right back today!
One from today's card:
- Washington - 1.5 R/L, -115, 1.25*
- Washington - 180, 0.75* - This is a combination bet, and something we've done a few times this season. We're basically saying that we like the Nationals to cover the -1.5 RL, but also hedging a bit of it on the moneyline in case they win by 1. Some of you may simply choose to bet 2* on the -1.5, and I cannot argue with you there. But my goal is to help us practice money management, & show how to build bankroll and win LONG-TERM. And this is a great + EV move. Now the reason for this play. The Rockies are flat out awful right now and are sending pitchers to the mound who shouldn't be in the major leagues. Look at what Flande has done in his last 3 starts this season, and he's walking a TON of hitters, and has allowed 12 runs and 21 hits in 14+ innings. On the other side, prior to Zimmerman's last outing he's been spectacular! Add to this the fact that Morneau is out, Tulo is doubtful, and Cargo isn't looking likely to play either. Where do the Rockies get the help offensively; because their pitching isn't going to slow the Nationals!
I also have leans to the Cubs (Hendricks was REALLY good last game after a struggling first inning due to nerves, mostly I think, in his first major league start).
Best of luck,
