973 Miami at Tampa Bay
Sometimes you just have to go where the value takes you, and after releasing 3 Best Bets for our extended clients we are taking a shot with what we see as a live underdog on Wednesday. The two Florida teams change locations tonight as Tampa tries to end its extended losing streak with the headhunter David Price on the hill. Well at least according to Big Papi who lives in another world entirely. Has anyone else seen the different behavior of Ortiz since Manny Ramirez left the team or is it just me? I digress, Tampa is in a terrible funk right now as what this team was built on is no longer the case. The Rays were a team that took pitches and made the opposition starter work. That's no longer the case as the Rays were shut out last night on 88 total pitches.
Miami on the road isn't a bargain either which is one of the reasons for this high line. Koehler has out pitched his advanced metrics which is also a sign of concern. But as we have seen by losing time and time again going against Simon of the Reds, sometimes it takes a bit longer for everything to even out. If you don't feel comfortable with the Marlins winning this game outright, do like our friend VR and sprinkle a little on Miami on the run line.
