In my view, the wrong team is favoured in this match up between Chris Young and Nathan Evoldi. This is a drop in quality with regards to the opposition for the Mariners who have just gone 1-3 in a 4 game series in Texas. Chris Young will be toeing the rubber for Seattle who was solid against the A’s in his only start of 2014 so far, he tossed six scoreless innings allowing just 4 hits.
The Marlins come into tongihts game having gone 2-9 when facing a right handed starter in 2014. Miami is hitting .247 in their last 7 games and have scored 3+ Runs in just one of their last 7 games. Miami give the ball to Nathan Evoldi who has pitched well to start the season, he has allowed 7 ER in his last 13 IP.
The Mariners Offense has certainly been cold to start the season, but has shown signs of being more consistent over the past few days. They did leave 32 men on Base in the series against the Rangers and they will be looking to improve on their 5-23 (.217) hitting with RISP which they had in Texas.
Seattle Mariners + 110
GL Everyone!
