Good pitching matchup here tonight between the Mets' Bartolo Colon, making his first career start for the Mets, vs. Gio Gonzalez for the Nationals. Gonzalez has been really solid during his career at Citi Field, going 5-0 with a 1.63 ERA in his last six starts versus the Mets, including 16 consecutive scoreless innings. Even with that under consideration, we are going to look the other way tonight as only three of the Nationals hitters have ever faced Colon in a game. We think that lack of comfort facing Colon works in the Mets favor, as well as getting Daniel Murphy and Chris Young back in the lineup tonight. Let's roll with the Mets to even up this series tonight. The Sharps say...

agree with the pick.. just an fyi murph wont b back until thursdays game as he just had a child.. young wilmer flores probably going to get the start tonight at 2b.. young righty with some pop could get a few knocks against the nationals southpaw.. agree that colon will pitch well tonight.. just a crap shoot when u get into the mets pen.. thats where i see their down fall tonight as it was on opening day and as it will probably be all season long
Thanks TMan...my understanding was that Murphy was back in the lineup tonight (not that it's a huge deal) I hear ya on their bullpen! BOL tonight...
just another day for murph.. prob better off as gio will be a tough match up for his lefty bat.. satin should prob start at 1st which believe it or not is an upgrade on ike or duda.. mets match up well vs lefties usually.. only person who will struggle would be grandy but he may struggle into a 1-4 night with 3 ks and a 3 run homer.. mets closer parnell going to need TJ surgery so we got papa grande closing out games now with farnsworth setting him up.. kinda shaky but both veterans that know how to pitch in this league.. plus ya gotta love valverdes energy.. no play for me personally here as i do not bet on baseball usually but i'm a big mets fan and am very realistic when it comes to them and i think the mets are the right side here tonight.. just keep your fingers crossed it doesnt become a bullpen game like opening day
Really appreciate your input...like the "fan perspective", especially when it comes to baseball and NBA (high volume of games, helps having great feel for pulse of the team) Be well my man!
I like the play...
ALL VALUE is in opposition to the common intuition of market participants, the stronger their belief, the bigger the edge, the larger the herd, the bigger the edge.
A GOOD BET IS A BET MADE WITH A KNOWN EDGE, NOT A BET THAT WINS.
any time UD.. keep doing you.. lets go mets
I would not trust that mets bullpen UD... I am on the other side here and if you wanted to take the mets you should of took them first 5 here. BOL.
