5 units on NYY (-150) with Chamberlain over Cleveland with Sowers

This is 100% a play against lefty Jeremy Sowers.  Sowers earned a turn in the rotation based on his 5 scoreless innings against Tampa which the Rays were winning 10-0 when Sowers came in.  Now think about this guys, you are a hitter for the Rays, are you up there being patient and waiting on good pitches when you have a 10-0 lead?  Of course not, your swinging away and trying to move the game along so you can go home and sleep.  Yes I understand that Cleveland somehow came back to win this game, scoring 7 runs in the 9th inning and Sowers got the victory, but that is not the norm here.  Before that game, he gave up 12 runs on 14 hits and 6 walks in 9 innings in his first 2 starts combined.  He is primarily a fly ball pitcher which will not bode well against the home run hitting bats for the Yankees as I fully expect the bombers to put a few over the fence, or at least against that silly left field wall in Cleveland.  On the other side we have Joba Chamberlain who coming off an injured knee struggled a bit against Texas going only 4 innings giving up 3 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks.  Remember the Cleveland lineup should be without Victor Martinez and certainly will be without Grady Sizemore.  Even if Travis Hafner returns we have a huge lineup advantage here with the Yanks.  The bullpens both suck as we have seen all year, but if you saw Sundays game you saw Betancourt hurt his leg so he may not be available Monday night for Cleveland.  And the Yanks havent used Mariano Rivera for a few days so we may see a 3+ out save here if needed.  I LOVE this game tonight and think its an easy winner.

    Good luck all!

  • It was probably 3 Cleveland fans betting early before getting on an airplane and 1 NY stock trader getting down before the markets opened for you to see the 75%.
