Not going to pin down one subject today. Just some events that caught my eye, on this date in 1967 Wilt pulled down a record FORTY ONE rebounds for the Sixers in a playoff game setting a record. In other events outside of the sports world Kurt Cobain killed himself in 1994 in this date, at some point in our lives most of us will be touched by someone who chooses a permanent solution to what is most often a temporary problem, I have and it generally wreaks havoc on those left behind. On this date in 2008 Charlton Heston passed. Toward the end of his life he was more well known as the lightening rod for the NRA than his acting career. I could get into this subject in more depth but that thread could spiral into anarchy pretty quickly. And finally on this date in 1976 Howard Hughes died, without question one of the most brilliant and also strange birds to walk the planet.
Okay, yesterdays free selection was the White Sox and they were shut down by Jeremy Guthrie and the Royals pen. So for today there is no panic on the air waves in Kansas City sports talk radio. Of course should they lose the series opener in Philadelphia this afternoon the bitching will resume. I think confidence in this team by both the fans and players alike is toliet paper thin. Personally, I think at 1-2 the debate whether this club will be above the .500 mark at any point all season long is a valid question. Anyway, for today's free release I am suggesting a small wager on the Brewers as they host the D'Backs, former Cardinal Kyle Lohse makes his Milwaukee debut.
That's it, good luck and enjoy your weekend guys. Final four weekend and I have a Triple Star loaded up for one of the games saturday. Take care!!
