The Rangers are 16-0 as a home favorite in the first game of a home series when they are off a loss in which their starter lasted less than eight innings. The SDQL text is:
team=Rangers and H and p:L and SG=1 and p:SIP<8 and HF and 20110620<=date
The impressive fact about this trend is that the Rangers have won these games by an average of 6.8 runs per game. I don't ever remember seeing an average margin in baseball this high for any trend that contained at least ten games. It's a good average margin for football! The Rangers are also 16-0 on the run-line in this spot where they were an average of +118. That is, each of the 16 wins was by multiple runs.
It seems to me that if you are going to play the Rangers tonight, you should strongly consider playing them on the run-line.
