I had to settle for a split on the bases yesterday, winning the double dime, but dropping my 3-dime run line side. MLB SUNDAY FREE (SFO Giants)
I'm backing the SFO Giants on Sunday as they look to stave off the sweep. San Fran has dropped the first two games of the series and three in a row overall, but trusted hurler Ryan Vogelsong takes the AT&T bump today. The righty has allowed more than 3 earned runs just once in 18 starts this season and he's had very little trouble with the Dodgers in five starts since coming back to the "bigs" in 2011. Vogelsong has held the Dodgers to 8 earned runs and 1 home run in 34 innings of work. Los Angeles has dropped Clayton Kershaw's last four road starts and he has been pounded for 13 earned runs and 17 base runners in his last two roadies, spanning 11 innings of action. The Dodgers have won just 7 of their last 26 against righthanded starters and face one of the best in this one. Meanwhile, the Giants are on a 5-0 run against southpaws and they're on an 8-0 run when Vogelsong toes the home rubber. I'm backing the SFO Giants on Sunday. Thanks! GL! Scott Spreitzer.
