I'd add Caseyward to that list. Good luck with the second half jzovas!

Isn't Jeff Scott -42 units in baseball and more than that in everything?  I am not calling him out or anything, but if this guy is looking for advice, I'd think it's responsible that he gets good info, not just saying someone is solid because they happen to do write-ups.

You want a handicapping tip?  Spend as much time getting a good number as you do researching games. Depositing/withdrawing/depositing/withdrawing is a bitch, but I guarantee you will lose less, or win more.  I can't guarantee that for any other piece of advice

I would go to the free picks section.  Start with the best records, and go through pick by pick and see how many times they have beat the closing line.  This will give a much better indication as to whether they are making good picks, or have just gotten lucky thus far.  Look at those who may not have a great record either.  If they are consistently beating the closer, things are likely to turn around for them.

Thanks for the props Spartan. Much appreciated. And thanks to you as well Llyod. You actually helped me realize some thing. First Technically I am just .74 units in the hole if you add my top plays and other plays together. Now I am -21.43 units in the whole as far as my top plays go, but at one point i was -48 units behind in my top plays.

Right before the All-Star break I put a note in my thread about how upset I was that that I had such a horrible first half due to all of the distractions I have had to deal with here. But despite the move, the incredible stress of living with my sister, a health scare or two and some other stuff that has gone on I have had a very decent 2nd half of the first half of the season as I chopped off 27  units or so from my top plays. So I actually had a decent run the last month an a half or so.

You are very right about one thing though... doing writeups does not make a capper solid. That's true. I do the writeups cause i enjoy doing them and i like giving out the info so some people dont have to search all over the net for it. The Pick is not always accurate but the info I give out is and if i help people with just the info on the game then thats all good as well. They can look at the info and make their own mind up.

Now in closing I am in no way saying that i am the guy to follow during the second half and I'm sure that there are better cappers out there for jzovas to follow. Again though thank you because while I thought the whole first half was horrible for me, i have realized that i actually had a very nice 2nd half of the first half and that has me really positive as i head into the second half. THanks again.

Jzovas my thoughts on who to follow are DHayes, Griff, Casey, No Limit, Russemar and Gordon. Pretty much the guys that Spartan has said. Also like Lloyd said go to the free picks section and the streaks section. You will see who from the community is hot. I don't always put my plays in the make picks (time restraint a lot of times) but I do keep an accurate record in my signature. Just do a little searching and you will find all the help you need here. Pregame has a great community and Im sure you will find a solid capper or two to follow.

You're right, when I was adding them up in your signature I added the overall to the 4 star to the 3 star etc.

There's a big difference between seeing who's "hot" and who has been consistently beating the closer.  I would absolutely follow a guy at 53% over 300 plays who has beat the closer 250 times than a guy hitting 60% who has only beat the closer 150 times.  Being hot is just a measure of random variance and has no real value in determining whether or not someone is successful in the future, and that's what you need right?  Success in the future.  Just because they WERE hot doesn't mean it will continue, especially if their long term track record says otherwise

I know that going through a hot streak does not mean it will continue. Just was defending my self a bit. Actually I was very down on myself about the how the first half went, but then I dug a little deeper and figured that the last part of it wasn't that bad. It gives me positives heading in to the second half, when I didn't think there were any. My response wasn't at all looking for Jzovas to start following me. I said that there are better guys out there than me to follow, but I do know that i have more confidence heading into the second half than i did 3 days ago and that's what I was trying to convey in my response. I know confidence doesn't make you a better capper but it's better to cap with confidence than if your pressing to catch up.

Win Or lose i put my heart and soul into everything I do for Pregame and will continue to do so as we finish off baseball and head into football season. BOL on your 2nd half Jzovas and i hope you find the right guys to follow. there are so many sharp cappers here at pregame.
